“There's nothing I love more in a story than a good romance, and this story already delivered it to me, even this early one! The story between two characters from completely different backgrounds, introduced to us as being opposites, never fails to invite me to continue reading.

This story certainly nails this completely. The struggles Gigi, a goblin who's a free spirit at heart who wants to go out to explore the wide world, is stuck taking care of her family bakery while pitied by everyone in her surroundings for not being able to settle down. You feel for her, as the future that is expected of her seems completely different from what she desires.

And then there is the male lead and love interest, Drake, who has spent his entire life treated as nothing more than a sword serving his kingdom while not even being respected as a human, as he's being denied basic rights like falling in love. Both characters yearn to escape the circumstances placed on them, and the similarities emerge as we witness the sparks flying between them early on. Suffice it to say, both of them and their relationship are absolutely adorable! You can't help but root for them to break through their respective barriers through their budding relationship. If you are looking for romance to obsess over, I can thoroughly recommend this story!”
